Following a national call for tenders, our Romanian client won the prestigious contract to supply 8 new translation booths to the Romanian Senate. These booths, selected for their advanced features, provide an ideal solution for interpreters with practical enhancements. One of the key innovations is the improvement in sound quality, made possible by laminated glass windows. Since the booths are installed in close proximity to the speakers, acoustic insulation is crucial to ensure a clear and accurate transmission of speeches.
The selected booths also stand out for their ergonomic design, tailored to meet interpreters’ needs. The integration of an electrical power strip directly into the worktable is particularly appreciated, allowing interpreters to easily charge their laptops and smartphones without disrupting their workflow. This seemingly simple feature greatly enhances their comfort during long translation sessions.
Another clever feature is the inclusion of magnetic areas for language labels. This system allows for easy display of the language used in each booth by placing magnetic labels, printed on magnetic paper, onto designated metal areas on the doors and the front of the booths. This process allows for quick and effective language identification without permanent changes, offering valuable flexibility in a multilingual environment.
JPemBall is proud to once again collaborate with the Romanian administration, this time by providing our Polytcab® 2100 booths to the Senate. This success closely follows our contribution in 2019, when we equipped the European Presidency.
