FAQ soundproof - acoustic booths
Find out all about our soundproof/acoustics booths!

Are soundproof booths ventilated?
Yes, all our soundproof booths are ventilated, whether they be translation booths, office booths or even music booths. They are all equipped with an ultra-quiet ventilation system, guaranteeing optimal air renewal without compromising soundproofing.
The ISO 4043:2016 standard requires an air renewal of 41 m³ per hour. Our booths go well beyond this, with a minimum airflow of 150 m³ per hour – 3.7 times the required amount. What’s more, we’ve optimised the noise level of our fans to provide optimum working conditions: they operate at just 15 dB at interpreter height, ensuring maximum comfort.
In September 2023, we upgraded our ventilation system, increasing the airflow from 103 to 150 m³ per hour and adjusting the noise level from 9 dB to 15 dB for better performance.

What are the advantages of a soundproof booth?
Our soundproof booths are lightweight thanks to their construction in polycarbonate honeycomb, a material that is both robust and easy to transport, making them ideal for professionals. What’s more, they are easy to assemble, and can be erected in less than ten minutes by a single person, even in confined spaces.
User comfort is also a priority. Our booths are fitted with wide-glazed windows, providing a pleasant feeling of space and light. Ultra-quiet ventilation ensures optimum air renewal without disturbing concentration, and adjustable LED lighting lets you adapt the ambience as required.
Aesthetically, our booths are elegant and customisable, available in a range of colours and sizes. They fit perfectly into any professional environment, adding a modern, refined touch to your workspaces. Thanks to these features, our booths combine performance, comfort and design to meet the needs of all users.

Are soundproof booths easy to install?
Yes, our soundproof booths are very easy to install. Thanks to their light weight – only 122 kg – they are particularly easy to handle and assemble by anyone. Their optimised design allows for rapid assembly: a single person, equipped with a Hallen N°7 spanner, can assemble them in just seven/ten minutes.
Their intuitive installation system includes centring fingers as guides, making it easy to align the panels without the need for corner posts. Each panel fits perfectly together, making assembly even simpler.
These essential features are what make our booths so special, attracting many customers looking for practical, efficient solutions.

What is the difference between the P2100 and P2170 soundproof booths?
Our P2100 and P2170 models are historic translation booths. Although they look similar, they differ in a number of ways.
- P2100: this model, appreciated for its ease of assembly and lightness, is made of polycarbonate to guarantee optimum sound insulation. Very popular with institutions such as the European Parliament, it complies with international standards and is easy to transport.
- P2170: similar to the P2100, the P2170 offers greater flexibility with separable panels (170 cm + 30 cm), making it ideal for transport and storage. With 14 panels instead of 10 for the P2100, its assembly is more complex, but it is perfect for flexible requirements.
In short, the P2170 stands out for its modularity and ease of transport, while the P2100 remains a benchmark for its sturdiness and simplicity.

Can soundproof booths be customised to suit specific space requirements or needs?
Our soundproof booths offer a number of customisation options to suit your specific needs. You can choose the colour and dimensions of the booth so that it blends in perfectly with your environment.
For additional customisation, we apply a coloured adhesive film, which allows you to match the booth to your corporate identity or make it more recognisable.
We also offer a range of finishes, such as imitation wood, stone, leather and many others. What’s more, all aluminium profiles can be customised with a baked-on epoxy paint, allowing you to choose specific colours while guaranteeing high impact resistance.
These customisation options make your booths both functional and perfectly suited to the aesthetics of your décor.

Are soundproof booths eco-friendly?
Yes, our soundproof booths are designed with the environment in mind. We are fully aware of environmental issues and are committed to reducing our environmental footprint throughout our production cycle.
Around 75% of the materials used in the design of our booths are recycled or recyclable, and 60% of these materials can actually be recycled after the booth has been processed. In addition, the low weight of our booths has a positive impact on reducing CO2 emissions during transport, contributing to a more environmentally responsible approach.

How does soundproofing a booth work?
The soundproofing of a booth is based on a specific design that prevents the transmission of external noise. The panels are made of a multi-layer combination of insulating materials that absorb and attenuate sound vibrations. At the junction between two panels, an EPDM rubber gasket crushes when tightened, eliminating any gaps through which noise could infiltrate. For the glazed surfaces, phonic laminated glass is used to ensure optimum insulation. The combination of these different elements creates a calm environment inside the booth, effectively reducing external noise pollution.

Is an on-site installation service possible?
Yes, an on-site installation service is possible, but it involves an additional cost, including travel and labor. However, our cabins are designed to be easily assembled (between 7 and 10 minutes) by a single person. So it may not be cost-effective for you to use our services, given the short set-up times involved. It’s up to you to weigh up the costs and decide whether or not it’s worth your while.
