STOP-PRO6 security glazing

Security glazing for vehicles

STOP-PRO6 is a protective polycarbonate overglazing kit designed for intervention and transport vehicles (light vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, buses, etc.). It is intended to protect law enforcement agencies (police, gendarmerie), civil security forces (firefighters, emergency medical services, etc.), as well as all passengers in vehicles that may be targeted by urban violence and projectile attacks.

Its strength and flexibility dissipate the energy of an attack and deflect hand-thrown projectiles back toward the aggressor, while ensuring the integrity of the protected glass surfaces.

As transparent as glass, STOP-PRO6 does not alter visibility from inside the vehicle. It features beveled and rounded edges to reduce the risk of injury and snagging. STOP-PRO6 also allows the window to be partially opened to ventilate the cabin or to use a tear gas diffuser against aggressors, if necessary.

Quick and easy installation of overglazing

In the absence of lamination, this protective overglazing for vehicles fits side and rear windows (optional). It is secured using powerful suction cups that provide high resistance to pull-off (> 530 N). The visibility of vehicle occupants is not affected, even after impact.

Quickly installed by a single person, each polycarbonate overglazing panel can be positioned in under 20 seconds and requires no specific training, thanks to the simplicity of the concept.

For optimal adhesion, STOP-PRO6 should be applied to a clean and dry surface to ensure maximum hold of the protective glazing (rain after installation does not affect the overglazing’s performance).

Once aligned with the bottom of the window, a pivoting motion toward the interior allows the STOP-PRO6 overglazing to be installed. Strong adhesion of the suction cups is achieved by applying pressure to each rubber cone.

Secured with a nylon strap positioned inside the door, once the door is closed, STOP-PRO6 can remain in place on the vehicle without any risk of detachment, loss, or theft—even under operational conditions.

Operational use cases of STOP-PRO6

Designed in response to urban violence observed during social movements in France, this overglazing solution for all intervention vehicles is intended to enhance safety in high-risk or degraded situations (demonstrations, sporting events, sensitive events, etc.).

STOP-PRO6 has been tested under real operational conditions encountered in the field, including impacts from pétanque balls, stones, and bottles, resistance to violent shocks such as iron bars, and behavior under fire exposure, including Molotov cocktails.

Pull-off resistance test

Pull-off resistance tests are designed to measure the ability of STOP-PRO6 glazing to withstand forced removal or detachment attempts. These tests simulate repeated and prolonged actions, such as those that may occur during intrusion attempts or acts of vandalism. The glazing is subjected to significant forces to assess its adhesion, durability over time, and its ability to delay or even prevent access to the vehicle interior.

Projectile impact resistance test

Up to 200 times more resistant than glazing of the same thickness, polycarbonate glazing prevents common projectiles from penetrating the vehicle interior, thereby reducing the risk of serious injury or fire on board.

Simple, lightweight, removable, space-saving, and fire-resistant (M1 rating – non-flammable), STOP-PRO6 security glazing absorbs impacts (kinetic energy) through elastic deformation of the panel and its shock-absorbing components, which effectively dissipate the force of impact.

STOP-PRO6 can therefore withstand impacts and thrown objects, even at very close range, such as:

  • a pétanque ball (30 joules),
  • a paving stone (100 joules),
  • a glass bottle,
  • a can,
  • an iron bar,

while ensuring complete protection of the intervention vehicle’s original window.

Fire resistance test

The flexibility of the STOP-PRO6 protective overglazing prevents incendiary devices from entering the vehicle interior while deflecting them away from the vehicle.

With an M1 rating (non-flammable), STOP-PRO6 polycarbonate glazing does not act as fuel or oxidizer for a flame. Its fire-resistant properties actively help prevent the spread of fire both inside and outside the vehicle.

Official Performance measurement by LNE

Designed in response to urban violence observed during social movements in France, this overglazing solution for all intervention vehicles is intended to enhance safety in high-risk or degraded situations (demonstrations, sporting events, sensitive events, etc.).

Tested at the LNE in Yvelines (test report no. P255059 dated 08/12/2025), STOP-PRO6 exceeded all our expectations, demonstrating outstanding resistance and effectiveness. It even pushed the limits of the LNE’s testing equipment without the glass being broken.

Test results:

  • Hard body impacts (1 kg): up to 30 joules (maximum limits of the testing equipment)
  • Soft body impacts (3 kg): up to 100 joules (maximum limits of the testing equipment)
  • Soft body impacts (50 kg): up to 900 joules (maximum limits of the testing equipment)

The glazing did not break during any of these tests.

When installed as a security overglazing for vehicles, STOP-PRO6 provides resistance to impacts of at least 900 joules, comparable to that expected from building metal cladding or law enforcement shields.

A polycarbonate overglazing solution made in France

STOP-PRO6 is manufactured and assembled in France, in the Loiret region, by JPemBall. In line with our commitment to “100% French manufacturing,” we ensure the availability of all components (suction cups, straps, shock absorbers) for efficient maintenance. This means that, if necessary, each part of the kit can be replaced individually. Our responsive after-sales service supports users to ensure the long-term durability of the solution.

STOP-PRO6 on field

STOP-PRO6 is available in two kits: one for side windows only, and another including additional rear window overglazing. It is delivered in a high-resistance Cordura bag that fits easily in the trunk. Equipped with a safety strap, STOP-PRO6 can remain in place on the vehicle without any risk of loss or theft.
