Ultra-lightweight translation booth
Our P2100 translation booth is upgraded to P3100 to comply with the new ISO 17651-2:2024 standard, which replaces ISO 4043.
Since 2008, our Polytcab® has been the historical model of translation booths from JPemBall, periodically refined in collaboration with users. Our expertise in polycarbonate has enabled us to design translation booths that not only meet international standards but are also lightweight and easy to assemble. Installers appreciate the low weight of the panels and complete cases.
The Polytcab® 2170 is a special model designed to be portable anywhere, thanks to its panels that can be separated into two parts (170 cm + 30 cm). The connection between the two parts of the panels is done through the standard locking system.
The booth now consists of 14 panels (instead of 10), making the assembly a bit more complex but providing a significant advantage in transport and storage (in a vertical position).
From the European Parliament to theaters and numerous companies, the Polytcab® 2170 – 3170 is particularly present.

Our mobile booths are fully compliant with current regulations, namely ISO 17651-2:2024 (replacing ISO 4043:2016). Approved by the European Commission, our Polytcab® 2170 booths have been used during international conferences such as the European Presidencies, climate conferences (COP), etc.

Advantages
Lightweight
Our translation booths are the lightest on the market. They weigh only 127 kg, making them much easier for technicians to handle and assemble.
Cable passer brushes
We opted for brush strips to facilitate cable entries. Made of polypropylene and nylon with a thickness equal to the wall, the brush strips are very easy to use and retain a semblance of soundproofing.
Edge-to-edge glazing
We ensured that translators benefit from excellent visibility into the room by making the windows extend from one edge to the other of the panel frame. The windows of our Polytcab® 2170 – 3170 booths are perfectly soundproofed and unbreakable.
Door sill bottom
Our booths are equipped with a 5 mm door threshold, making them easily accessible and eliminating the risk of tripping.
Two coat hooks provided
Very practical for the comfort of our booth users, we provide 2 removable coat hooks to be installed during the booth assembly.
Easy assembly
Our booths can be assembled between seven and ten minutes by a single technician with a Hallen N°7 wrench. Centering fingers serve as a guide during assembly. No corner posts for assembly. The panels are self-sufficient. These key points make them unique and have won over many customers.
Ultra-silent ventilation
The ISO 4043:2016 and ISO 17651-2:2024 standards requires an air exchange rate of 41 m3 per hour. JPemBall provides a minimum air exchange of 150 m3, which is 3.7 times the required air volume. For optimal working conditions, having nearly silent ventilation is essential. We have ensured to meet this requirement. Indeed, our ventilators operate at 15 dB (at interpreter’s height).
Update as of September 2023 : the ventilator has been upgraded to a more powerful one, increasing the air exchange rate from 103 to 150 m3 and maintaining the noise level at 15 dB.
LED Lighting
Our booths come standard with LED strips running the entire width of the booth. The intensity is adjustable with a touch switch (ON-OFF // and from 10% to 100%). Placed above the work surface, they provide completely uniform illumination. Additionally, LED lighting, being heat-free, does not contribute to the interior warming of the booth during prolonged use. Integrated into the thickness of the roof panels, nothing protrudes inside or outside. The power supply is through the same electrical source as the ventilators.
Door porthole
As required by the ISO 4043:2016 and ISO 17651-2:2024 standards, the doors are equipped with a small window measuring 20 x 20 cm, allowing visibility from the outside to check if an interpreter is already working inside.

Perfectly adapted to your booth, the flight-cases are made-to-measure and enable the transportation and storage of the booths in perfect security conditions.
The Polytcases® are made of cellular polycarbonate, making them particularly lightweight and easy to transport.
We adapt to your needs : we can integrate additional storage spaces or modify the opening upon request.
Three-to-four-seater extension kit
In accordance with ISO 4043:2016 and ISO 17651-2:2024, it is necessary to be able to expand translation booths to three seats (2400 x 1600 mm), or even four.
Our Polytcab® 2170 – 3170 booths are designed for two translators, but it is very easy to add one (or two) extension kits to accommodate three (or four) occupants.
An extension kit includes : 1 standard glass panel for the left front + 1 standard solid panel for the back + 1 specific roof panel + 1 specific shelf extension.
Do you have an unused Polytcab® booth ? You can retrieve its glass panel and solid panel, and only purchase the roof and shelf to create a three-seat booth.
Multi-socket integrated into the tablet
The ISO 4043:2016 and ISO 17651-2:2024 standards requires that each interpreter has an electrical outlet and a USB port in close proximity.
Our Polytcab® booths can be equipped with a power strip consisting of 3 universal outlets, 2 USB-A ports, and 2 USB-C ports, thus providing power to 2 or 3 people working in the booth.
Easy to access and suitable for all electrical devices, this power strip will allow interpreters to work in comfortable conditions.
Removable battery CO2 meter
To ensure that interpreters can work in optimal comfort and safety conditions, the CO2 level inside the booth must be visible to the occupants.
We can provide a removable CO2 meter that easily integrates into the booth and has a four-hour autonomy. It can be recharged through a USB port.
Laminated glass 33.2
The laminated glass with a thickness of 33.2 provides better sound insulation, but it adds weight to the booth (4 kg per pane). Laminated glass does not shatter into a thousand pieces because it remains in shape thanks to the lamination.
Connectors
The booth is fitted as standard with 3.5 JACK plugs, which can be replaced by POWERCON plugs or XLRs.
Colours
To customize your booths (making them more recognizable, aligning with your company’s branding, blending into a specific environment, etc.), we can apply a colored adhesive film during the manufacturing process.
A wide range of finishes is available : wood imitation, stone, leather, etc.
Version 2170-H - 3170H
The 2170-H – 3170H version allows for the replacement of the standard door with an ‘disabled’ door, with a width of 90 cm (instead of the standard 72 cm).
However, the location of the door will be fixed and must be defined during the manufacturing of the booth.
Painted profiles
All aluminum profiles can be customized with an epoxy paint (RAL reference), baked in an oven, to match the specific color of the panels or a decor, while retaining high impact resistance.
Floor joints
5 mm EPDM or rigid PVC rubber gaskets, adhered to the floor profile, prevent potential scratches on parquet/tiles. This makes it impossible to slide the booth once assembled.
