Custom transport crate for luxury events: a project for the CELINE fashion house
Transporting and presenting CELINE presentation cases at events
For certain event presentations, the CELINE group ships a set of 8 demonstration cases of various sizes to be displayed during collection presentations or on-demand events, both in France and internationally.
In addition, a specific request was made: to create a modular jewelry display space capable of accommodating one or several mini-cases of very different sizes, selected according to the collections being presented.
The constraints were therefore numerous:
- protecting luxury items, including wooden cases with lacquered finishes,
- facilitating handling by any user worldwide, both for opening and using the flight case and for removing the cases,
- adapting to different event contexts,
- offering a clean, adaptable presentation.
A custom transport crate designed for on-site use
Given the volumes being transported and the repeated handling, we chose a front-opening storage crate to provide quick and ergonomic access to the contents.
An optimized internal layout
The crate is composed of three fully extending sliding drawers, ideal for:
- instant visibility of the contents,
- easy handling during setup,
- time savings during event assembly and dismantling,
- custom foam padding for optimal protection.
The eight presentation cases are distributed across two dedicated drawers, with each case featuring:
- 50 mm thick custom foam padding,
- positioned at the corners for secure holding,
- while still allowing easy handling when removing the cases.
This custom foam padding ensures optimal protection of the products during transport, even in the case of frequent shipments or repeated handling.
A modular and scalable jewelry drawer
To meet CELINE’s requirements, our teams designed a fully modular jewelry drawer.
It includes:
- two large longitudinal compartments running the full length of the flight case,
- racks positioned every 1 cm along both sides of the long compartments,
- small removable dividers that can be placed into the racks at one-centimeter intervals.
This allows the client to create the desired layout with a high level of flexibility, adapting easily to:
- the type of jewelry being presented,
- the size of the pieces,
- the specific requirements of each event.
Mobility and ergonomics : flight cases designed for events
Because an event transport case must be mobile, our flight cases are equipped with:
- four multidirectional swivel casters,
- with individual brakes to ensure perfect stability on site.
For easy handling, two recessed spring-loaded handles are positioned on each side, providing a comfortable and secure grip, even in confined spaces.
